The USA Cycling National Championships are contested every year. ( BMX, Road, Mountain and Cyclocross disciplines). The 2010 National Champs of Mountain Biking took us back to Sol Vista Bike Park in Grandby, CO for a second consecutive season, and we were headed there looking for titles!

The “Gorge before St George”, one of the Worlds Seven Wonders if you ask Binggeli.

Richfield, CO.

Somewhere near Green River, CO.

Vail, CO.

Grandby, CO... BOOM! we’re there!

The hardest working man in Mountain Biking, KENDA’s own Jim Wannamaker!

Kosuke Terada (KHS Japan) visited with us during the Nationals and filmed some “moshi – moshi ” movies. Click on the links below to see some action.

Binggeli was the NUMBER ONE qualifier in the Pro 4X, he was eliminated in the round of 8 and finished 8th overall. A solid result for a racer who is primarily a downhill specialist, and had to compete in both 4X and Downhill.

Carney qualified 3rd in the 4X and was a definite favorite for the win.

He had strong heat races but was also eliminated in the round of 8. Carney went on to win the small final and took 5th overall for KHS.

The XC event takes off in the heat of the day… brutal!

Ulmer put on a “happy face” for qualifiers! Naish finished 38th in the DH Final.

Another SOLID top 20 run from Heath with a 16th place finish. Chris had the “HEAD WINDS FROM HELL” at the finish sprint.

Binggeli made us all really proud! He came so close to taking the Championship, however 2nd was AWESOME!

Fastest top 20 men in the US contesting at the Nationals.

During the finals on Sunday,  Sean “Griz” Mclendon unfortunately had a huge get off during his race run. He is strong, and I believe he will make a full recovery. You are in our thoughts…get well soon Griz!!!

Binggeli on his way to a 2nd place finish, just behind Yeti, Fox World Cup podium contender Aaron Gwin. Logan has been chasing Gwin’s times, and  has now come to the realization that he can do it! This is Binggeli’s best result in his career thus far for sure.

Left to right: Kyle Strait, Logan Binggeli (KHS), Arron Gwin (Yeti Factory), Tyler Immer, Brad Benedict (Specialized)

Buhl backed it up in the Woman’s for KHS, taking 3rd on top the podium!

Pack it up – Pack it in!

Back in St George, UT early hours Monday morning… all a BLUR leaving Binggeli just a few hours to pack and head to the slopes of Switzerland for round number 4 on the UCI  DH World Cup Circuit at a STEEP Champery track.

Click on the link above for some more video links provided by the boys at Sol Vista. These guys worked REALLY hard to help make these Nationals a Big Success.

Next we will be at the Pro GRT number 5 / CrankWorx Colorado July 28 – Aug 1, 2010.

Please stay tuned for more updates and photos as they become available.

All the best,
