The “KHS CREW” spent this past weekend at the Mongoose Hillbilly Bike Bash. This event was held at the beautiful Vail Lake Resort, located halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego in the City of Temecula, CA.

The Hillbilly Bike Bash is destined to be a classic! With the “nicest man in mountain biking” Eric Carter orchestrating the entire deal, along with his strong desire to give back to the mountain biking community, it is a given that this event will be a success for years to come.

Free Agent’s World Team Manager, Dale Holmes and myself hung out a little before his Super D race on Saturday afternoon. Holmes has entered a few Super D events now and is having moderate success. Dale will be doing a lot more 4X events in 2009 and he will be a force to be reckoned with!

Holmes captured a 3rd place podium finish in the Super D, an AWESOME result!

We did not fare as well in the Downhill though, the field was stacked and boasted a handful of World Cup racers. Binggeli finished a respectable 7th and I finished a somewhat disappointing 14th place on a very short but technical sub 2 minute course.

The KHS team will be in Fontana, CA next for the Southridge 17th Annual Challenge November 22-23. Please stay tuned for more updates and photo’s as they became available.

Thanks to all our sponsors!

All the best,
